Lori Whitmire

Lori Whitmire [LCSW] has spent a year and a half of her 7 years as a social work at FCS. Her specialty areas of practice include anger and anxiety, females entering early adulthood, adjustment issues/life cycle changes and depression. Her therapy style is client centered, incorporating elements of interpersonal therapy and third wave CBT. Writings that have influenced her work include On Becoming a Person by Carl Rogers and Mindful Therapy by Thomas Bien.

Lori grew up in Columbia, South Carolina and now calls Athens home, along with her husband, cat, and dog. She spends her off hours reading, drawing, and enjoying time on the porch with friends and family.
