If you are looking to register for an Anger Management Class, a Family Violence Class, a Substance Abuse Evaluation, or a Clinical Evaluation, you would have to call our office at (706) 549-7755 in order to get the correct forms sent to you.
We do not perform Mental Health Evaluations, and we are not traditional Medicaid or Medicare providers. If you have any other questions or concerns you can always give our office a call and we'd be more than happy to help you!
Katherine Wilson
Kat is a recent graduate of the Master of Social work program at the University of Georgia and is currently working towards her licensure. She first came to FCS as an intern and officially joined FCS in September 2021 after receiving her MSW. She is LGBTQIA+ affirming and values the opportunity to work with all her clients. She has served adult clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma & PTSD symptoms, substance misuse, substance use disorders, challenging family and/or relationship dynamics, body image & sexuality concerns, grief, and life changes. Her general theoretical orientation is humanistic and while she primarily offers cognitive-behavioral therapies, she also incorporates mindfulness, holistic-based interventions (such as stress management, breathwork, & movement practices), strengths-based therapy, motivational interviewing, harm/risk reduction, & narrative therapy into her practice. Overall, Kat believes in providing collaborative, holistic mental health care in an affirming and compassionate space to aid in clients’ journeys of self-discovery & along the way encourages them to take an active role in their search for a healthier, happier & more fulfilled life.
Kat grew up in Georgia and has lived in Athens since 2011. Outside of her work as a therapist, she enjoys the outdoors (hiking, kayaking, etc.), traveling, cooking, live music, & spending time with her family & sweet pets.
