We are accepting non-insured clients that need a sliding scale fee. We now have 2 Masters Level Interns and a MFT therapist on staff that are supervised by a Clinical Supervisor. If you are looking to register for an Anger Management Class, a Family Violence Class, a Substance Abuse Evaluation, or a Clinical Evaluation, you would have to call our office at (706) 549-7755 in order to get the correct forms sent to you. We do not perform Mental Health Evaluations, and we are not traditional Medicaid or Medicare providers. If you have any other questions or concerns you can always give our office a call and we'd be more than happy to help you!
John Helmly
John Helmly, LPC, NCC has a BA in Psychology and a M.Ed in clinical mental health counseling. He specializes in anger management/emotional intelligence, as well as helping divorcing parents protect their children from being caught in the middle of the ongoing conflict that often occurs with divorce. In addition, John has worked with individuals, couples and families, helping with a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, effective communication strategies and how to build healthy relationships. He is also honored to serve as the counselor for the Western Judicial Circuit Veterans Court. As part of the Phoenix Project, he has worked with persons trying to overcome criminal backgrounds, such as helping them get a GED and providing them with career counseling. John’s approach to counseling draws from his 20-year career of working as a trainer and consultant for several major corporations, as well as his experience as an adult education instructor. He has a deep desire to see people reach their full potential and while he employs a full range of counseling strategies, the work of Carl Rogers and his Person-Centered Theory, combined with cognitive approaches and those derived from Polyvagal Theory, serve as a foundation for John’s practice. .
