Teddy Kemp

Teddy Kemp [LCSW] has over 35 years experience in helping individuals cope with life transitions; couples find a healthy balance between personal and marital needs; and families deal with the challenges of contemporary family life. He has been Executive Director of Family Counseling Service since 1988 and is an Approved Supervisor in the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.  

Teddy also works with military families providing readjustment counseling for returning veterans and has a clinical specialty in treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

His own military service included 18 months in Vietnam during 1970-72. For the past 14 years he has been a Vet Center Counselor. 

Teddy also provides training and supervision for area professionals and is a part time instructor in the University of Georgia, School of Social Work.

Recently he discovered the joys of being Santa as part of the agencyís fundraising efforts and has been known to enjoy our annual Mardi-Gras costume party.
