Michelle Castleberry

Michelle Castleberry [LCSW] has worked at FCS since 2007. Originally from Arkansas, she moved to Athens, Georgia where she obtained her master’s degree in social work at UGA. She uses approachable, language-oriented means to accompany clients toward their personal goals in therapy.

Michelle enjoys working with adult clients as individuals, in couples, or in family or group settings and has assisted them in dealing with concerns including: anxiety, depression, grief and loss, aging, anger management, and recovery from abusive relationships. As a former musician and current writer, Michelle values the chance to offer therapeutic work to people in the arts. She also works with women in life transitions and members of the LGBTQ community. She lives in Watkinsville with her boyfriend, Matt, whom she occasionally assists in making films. Her first book, Dissecting the Angel and Other Poems, was published October of 2013.
